The Clearwater Free Clinic offers a wide range of care for most non-emergency medical problems. Treatment begins with an office visit during which you will be seen by our nurse practitioner or one of our volunteer doctors. Medications, lab work, tests, X-rays, procedures, nutritional counseling, and referrals to specialists are available to qualified Clinic patients.
Some conditions cannot be treated at the Clinic, including siezures, psychiatric disorders, chronic back pain, and cancer. The Clinic does not provide children's immunizations, STD testing, pregnancy testing or services, or birth control. Narcotics and prescriptions for narcotics are not available at the Clinic.
Services are available to adults and children who are U.S. citizens and permanent residents of upper Pinellas County. Patients must be under the age of 65, have no medical insurance, be ineligible for government medical programs (Medicare, Medicaid, VA benefits, County Social Service card, etc.), and meet the Clinic's financial guidelines.
There is no set fee for Clinic services, however we do ask that you come prepared to make a donation to help cover our operating expenses.
