The CFC Welcomes Anthony Degina as New CEO

Following Jeannie Shapiro’s retirement, we are pleased to announce Anthony "Tony" Degina as the new CEO. With 40 years of experience in the healthcare industry, specializing in hospital management, Tony is a proven leader known for his advocacy for staff and outstanding leadership qualities.

Prior to joining the Clearwater Free Clinic, Tony served as President, National Division at Thrivewell Infusion and spent seven years as CEO of Largo Medical Center. Tony's background as former CEO of Largo Medical Center gives him valuable insight into the healthcare systems in our community, as well as knowledge of how to reach the underserved and cultivate lasting partnerships with local hospitals. We are excited for the future growth and development Tony will bring in his new role as CEO.

“I am looking forward to working with the Board, staff, and volunteers to build on the outstanding service already provided to our community,” Degina said. “We have the opportunity to expand our programs and services to further meet the needs of those we are honored to serve.  As someone who has been involved in healthcare delivery systems since 2012 in the West Florida region, I am confident we will be able to serve the medical and behavioral needs of our community in a compassionate, safe, accessible, and high-quality environment.”
