Thank You Grant Partners
THANK YOU DEBARTOLO FAMILY FOUNDATION & PUBLIX SUPER MARKETS CHARITIES!
The Clearwater Free Clinic is grateful for generous grants from the DeBartolo Family Foundation and Publix Super Markets Charities to support our medication room and staff support. Approximately 82% of patients who come to the Clinic for care depend on monthly medications to manage their symptoms or maintain optimum health. Some of these essential medications include insulin for diabetics, non-narcotic pain management medication, vitamin supplements, injectables, flu and COVID vaccines, and much more. Last fiscal year, the Clearwater Free Clinic dispensed 44,378 thirty-day courses of medication – valued at approximately $4.7 million – for our patients at no cost.
THANK YOU SCHOENBAUM FAMILY FOUNDATION & SUE & JIM PETRU!
The Clearwater Free Clinic is grateful for grant funding from the Schoenbaum Family Foundation and Sue and Jim Petru to enhance our Vision and Ophthalmology Program and our Diabetic & Pre-Diabetic Program. Thanks to the Schoenbaum Family and the Petrus, the CFC was able to purchase a visual field to reduce preventable vision loss, detect early stages of chronic vision impairment, and improve overall health outcomes for uninsured and low-income residents. In addition, a portion of funding was allocated toward diabetic supplies, including insulin, glucose test strips, CGMs, and fresh produce. Many of our diabetic patients are at higher risk for vision loss and impairment, so the visual field allows our volunteer ophthalmologists to conduct crucial annual testing.
