Volunteer Week 2025!

Reflecting on an Amazing Volunteer Week at CFC

Event attendees had a wonderful time.

Last week, we wrapped up a special tradition: Volunteer Week at CFC. It was our chance to celebrate the incredible people who give their time, energy, and expertise to make a difference every day.

Throughout the week, we shared breakfast each morning and ice cream socials in the afternoons — moments to slow down, connect, and recognize all that our volunteers do. We closed the celebration with a special luncheon at Bon Appétit in Dunedin, surrounded by great food, beautiful views, and even better company.

But Volunteer Week isn’t just about the events. It’s about recognizing the real impact behind the smiles and service.

In the past year alone, volunteer services at CFC were valued at $1,201,382. On top of that, we received $1,909,730 in donated services, including radiology, procedures, and diagnostic services. Together, these contributions represent not just numbers, but real lives touched and real barriers removed for people who need help the most.

We also want to give a special thanks to the volunteers who help with fundraising efforts and special events. Whether you're organizing campaigns, securing sponsorships, planning logistics, or working behind the scenes to make our events a success, your work fuels our mission in powerful ways. Your creativity, dedication, and commitment to growing CFC’s reach and resources are critical to everything we do.

Every task — from answering the phone, assisting in patient care, providing specialty services, helping with fundraising, or lending a hand when asked — adds up to something powerful. Our volunteers are a critical part of making CFC's mission possible, and their generosity of time and spirit cannot be overstated.

Volunteer Week may have ended, but our appreciation continues every single day.

Thank you for standing with us, for showing up, and for proving that compassion, when put into action, can truly change lives.

Here’s to you, our volunteers — the heart of CFC.
